The victory of the Order of Four Popes
The Order of Four Popes, consolidated by 90% approval in the global referendum of September 2032, ushered in an era of far-reaching cooperation. Led by the charismatic Popess Pretoria I, it divided the world into four Macroregions, each governed by a pope representing different spiritual traditions.
- Ámeris: under Pretoria I, it encompasses Central and South America, Oceania and Africa, bringing Christian believers together under a banner of hope symbolised by a black griffin.
- Eurasia: governed by Pope Otomano I, it embraces Muslims and Jews across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. A red griffin against black represents its cultural richness.
- Sibéris: led by Pope Kramer Magnum I, it unites neo-Gnostics across North America and the territory from Russia to Japan. A yellow griffin on blue reflects its spirituality and innovation.
- Libertus: governed by Pope Witto Libertus I, it is home to neutral peoples, including Liberland. Its green flag, with a white griffin at the centre, symbolises the pursuit of freedom.
The regions’ oligarchic structure
The new political order reshapes power. Spiritual leaders guide souls while directing political destiny. The President-General implements decisions; the Praetorians provide security and conduct special missions. The Command Arena assumes legislative and judicial functions. Citizens classified as B.O.M.—Bem Orientados na Mente, the well-informed and educated—and M.A.U.—Mal-Adaptados Universais, the ignorant—face a society in which education and culture are its most valuable currencies.
Rio de Janeiro: a stronghold of the new civilisation
At the heart of this transformation, Rio shines. Under Pretoria I, the city becomes a stronghold of the new terrestrial civilisation. Its lush greenery and beaches now witness a society divided between MAU and BOM: a distinction reflecting its commitment to education and rejection of ignorance.
An educational and cultural revolution
Education and culture are the new era’s foundations. The divide between the poorly educated MAU and the cultivated BOM expresses the importance attached to civic instruction, information and study. By providing those resources free of charge, the government promotes an inclusive society in which differences of race, social position and wealth become obsolete.
Local economy and enterprise
The conflict destroyed the great corporations, allowing local economies to flourish. Entrepreneurs are valued and offered opportunities to earn regional credits known as Gulden. Within an Edu.Net environment guaranteed by the four governments, attention shifts towards human development and the pursuit of knowledge.
Ground zero of a new civilisation
On 1 October 2033, the world witnessed the birth of a new terrestrial civilisation. Rio’s vibrant energy and cultural diversity made it the starting point of that cosmic journey. A commitment to freedom of expression, equality and education turned the city into a beacon of hope.
As this new era unfolds, Rio takes a leading role in guiding humanity towards understanding, cooperation and growth. May this next chapter in terrestrial history be written in the colours of peace and prosperity.
