Tramas Temporais: An Original Approach to Film Music
Original publication date: not confirmed in the archive.

The Die Gotica Universe, known in the original article for the animated series A Desconhecida, extends into music through Tramas Temporais – Die Gotica: an album connecting orchestral grandeur with science-fiction storytelling. Composed by Ney Marques, Cristiano Stern, Adilson Gonçalvez and David Sion, its twelve original tracks are conducted by Adilson Gonçalvez and João Carlos Martins, celebrated for his interpretations of Bach.
Tramas Temporais goes beyond a conventional soundtrack, seeking an immersive audiovisual experience. Orchestral recordings with established instrumentalists intertwine with electronic elements, creating a sound world reflecting the DGU’s complexity.
“We wanted to capture the essence of the emotions and conflicts in the series,” explains project creator Cristiano Stern. “Music amplifies the narrative experience, carrying the listener between the DGU’s different settings, from the colonial Amazon rainforest to a futuristic Jerusalem.”
Composer and conductor Adilson Gonçalvez highlights the meeting of styles: “We explored classical, contemporary and even folk influences to create a musical language of our own for the DGU.”
Ney Marques, known for his inspiring career and devotion to music, praises the writing: “The tracks are rich in melody and harmony, with sophisticated arrangements that bring out the orchestra’s expressiveness.”
This ambitious project explores music’s strength as a storytelling medium. Its combination of talent, production and an original concept is intended to appeal to classical-music listeners, science-fiction fans and audiences seeking a different audiovisual experience.
Beyond listening, the project proposes an immersive digital-art exhibition. Visitors encounter works inspired by the music and the narrative of A Desconhecida, using augmented reality. Interactive Instagram filters were proposed to turn digital canvases into portals through which audiences could explore the universe’s settings, characters and artefacts.
Free community workshops were also planned, addressing musical creation, soundtrack composition and digital art with augmented reality. Artists involved in the project would introduce techniques and tools, encouraging creativity and experimentation.
The announced release
The original article scheduled the album for digital platforms in September 2026, accompanied by videos featuring exclusive DGU imagery. That announcement is preserved here as part of the archive; this translation does not confirm whether the release took place on that schedule.
